A little bit of history - II
Après la guerre, donc, mes arrière-grands-parents sont repartis à Paris avec ma grand-mère, Annette, qui devait avoir environs 13 ans. Ils revenaient pendant les vacances pour profiter du bon air de la mer.
After the war, my great-grand-parents went back to Paris with Annette, my grand-mother, who was about 13 years old. They came back every summer to enjoy the fresh air of the sea.
Et puis Annette s'est mariée...
Then Annette got married...
... bientôt ma mère s'est ajoutée aux vacanciers de la Ville Hamon...
... soon my mother joined the holidaymakers at the Ville Hamon...
... suivie par un demi-frère dix ans plus tard.
... followed by a half brother ten years later.
Quand mes arrière-grands-parents ont pris leur retraite, ils ont quitté Paris pour venir s'installer à la Ville Hamon, et n'en sont plus repartis...
When my great-grand-parents retired, they left Paris and came to live at the Ville Hamon, never to leave it again...
