The "heirloom home" is a family cottage on the coast of Brittany, La Ville Hamon, that we are currently in the process of renovating. I will truthfully document the whole long and painful endeavour in all its excruciating glory on this here blog: the mistakes, the surprises, the victories, and the lessons learned (or not!)

Heirloom peut se traduire par "héritage" ou "patrimoine"; c'est un objet de famille précieux qui a été transmis de génération en génération. Cet objet, dans mon cas, est une très vieille maison en Bretagne, La Ville Hamon dans laquelle nous allons bientôt commencer d'importants travaux de rénovation. Je documenterai sans filtre le long et laborieux processus sur ce blog: les erreurs, les surprises, les victoires, et les leçons apprises (ou pas!)
